We do not aim to totally change the facial appearance but to "refresh" and make "younger".
We do not (generally) recommend radical surgical procedures as there are too many risks (such as infections and nearly always looking artificial, and also because surgical procedures always need constant upgrading with Botox and Fillers).
This type of esthetic enhancement is a medical / dental procedure (25% of all dental office in North American now provide facial esthetics services for their patients) that should taken seriously and done in a clinical environment with infection control standards, not at a "house party", hair salon or "spa" and not advertised on a bus!
As a certified dental specialist, I have over 30 years experience and training in facial esthetics and many MD's have little or no esthetic training.
As a dental specialist (with Royal College Fellowship), I have much more training and experience than most MD's in facial pain control ("freezing", etc.). I practice pain control, in this manner, every single day. In fact, often esthetic MD's refer patients to dentists for freezing before doing procedures! We can combine both pain control and procedures!
All these procedures are carried out by a Doctor (ie. me!). I do not delegate to nurses or auxiliaries, no matter how much training they have undergone. Such injections are not similar to a nurse administered vaccination (etc.), they are much more complicated and involved.
We have treated many dentists and MD's who understand the level of experience and training involved.
Check out your provider's facial esthetics (including teeth) as a guide to their commitment! Don't be afraid to ask questions as per recommendations of the medical / dental boards and associations.
We are well schooled in the concept of "customer satisfaction" and "excellence" in patient care as we have never been a part of a semi-socialized "care system".
